Lake Powell-One year later

Swimming with Daddy!
Brett jumping off the cliff. McKenna and Brett jumped off this year. I did it last year and it KILLED my neck, so I decided to skip it this year. Stupid neck!!!!

This is Sunday, on our way home. We stopped at the look-out over the dam. Maecee of course thinks everything is a piece of gymnastics equipment and was trying to walk the beam, right next to the busy street. Her protective brother helped her off. They are so cute together!

Looking at the Dam and Maecee climbing....
When we were down at the breakfast Sunday morning Ethan said "mom, why are we the only ones in church clothes?" I thought it was funny that he noticed, but I explained to him why.

Just fishin'
Didn't catch a thing this time

Sunning and snacking
Going potty for the 100th time Ü

Is this not one of the coolest pictures you've ever seen? I was driving up Antelope Canyon and it was pure glass! Absolutely breathtaking! I'm pretty sure we all had the biggest perma grins. I kept screaming with excitement...I know that sounds weird but it was unbelievable! OH and I HAVE to tell you that BRETT TOOK THESE PICTURES!!

Another WOW!

And another..Don't these pictures make you want to head to Lake Powell right now? It does that to me!

Kenna became a real pro this year.

Going for a swim to cool off. Me and my girlies! Maecee had a serious death grip on me. She was really scared at first but then by the end I would just hold her hand and swim with her. We were swimming to this rock below

.....to join up with these crazies! It was sooo fun! We all went exploring while Brett and the others fished. There were little rocks that were perfectly round (shaped like Cocoa Puffs). The kids would all pick up handfuls of them and then throw them at the same time. It looked and sounded so cool. It sounded like rain. We did that for quite awhile and then they found a small pond and went to step in it and it was like quicksand. It was pretty funny to watch their faces! We also found this weird substance that looked like Moon Sand. When you would get it wet, it would turn into spongy clay. It was weird. McKenna kept saying, this is going to be my favorite memory.

Maecee in front of Rainbow Bridge. I didn't know that this is one of the Seven Wonders of the World (in the non-man made category). The Indians there think it is sacred and bad luck or something if you walk under it or even by it. So they had a tour guide standing there so you couldn't get too close to it. It is HUGE though. Angie (our friend we went with) said when the water was higher they actually could swim right up to it and under it. It's even rumored that someone in her family climbed to the top of it. Now, I cannot either confirm or deny that, since I wasn't there! Ü

Yea, I was trying to do one of those pictures where it looks like she is holding the arch up. I'm not very talented or very good at giving instructions and the subject isn't very good at taking direction (at least from her mom). Plus there was a crowd of people coming up behind us so I gave up. Brett was just shaking his head at me. In fact he did that alot this trip? Or is that everyday?? Hum?

Visit with Britt and Her Family

I have this friend who is---oh man, how do I even explain her. She is my long lost sister (except we never have sister fights). It's like we are almost twins seperated at birth. The funny thing is we look COMPLETLY DIFFERENT. She's 6' something, I'm 5' nothing. She's blonde, I'm gray, I mean brunette, You could spit in her face and she would smile at you and tell you it's ok, I would tell you where to go Ü
But our similarities are pretty crazy. Who else can say they like the smell of skunk besides her and I. She also is totally in love with Barbies, I played with Barbies until I could almost drive. We both LOVE the outdoors (Wyoming especially!). We're both people pleasers. We both have the craziest health problems (and I mean some weird health stuff!). We're both clumsy. We both love to shop (especially bargain shop). And we "shop" the same, if that makes sense. We won't see or talk to each other forever and then find out we've been doing or thinking the same things. It's just weird----I can't really explain it. Well her family came and stayed with us for the BYU vs. USU football game and Conference weekend. It was so great to see her! Although keeping with our theme, I got a migraine and had to leave dinner because I was about to throw-up. Well the boys went to Priesthood Session and she not only watched my kids, but cleaned my house all while I slept. The crazy thing is that any other person I wouldn't have felt comfortable (aka not let Brett leave) with anyone else to do that. I just knew that she was fine letting me rest and I would have made her do the exact same thing as she did for me. Oh Britty, Britt, I love you and miss you tons! Park City soon!!!!!
I do have a picture of us on my other computer so I will add it when I get the chance.

Her daughter Chloee and Maecee leaving the Aggie game holding hands. They were best buds! I give that a HUGE stamp of approval. They played so good together. Maec keeps asking me when her best buddy Chloee can come and play with her.
Brett and Nixon. Oh her baby is so stinking cute! He reminds me of a baby Ethan! He is a little sweetheart! We all couldn't get enough of him.

Ethan and Treyson. These two boys are just a couple weeks apart. They also played sooo good together! It's so nice when that happens.

McKenna and I fight over Britt. We both think she's our best friend.

Quick trip with Grandpa Horsey

My dad asked if Maecee and I if we would want to ride up to their Elk Camp and help him pack up his trailer and keep him company. Well it took some work to arrange me getting away but we made it work (thanks to Brett). I LOVE hanging with my dad, especially in the mountains!
Here is a little spot we hiked to. I was scared we were going to see a bear because my nephew Caileb missed a shot at a bear in that area.
Maecee and I (a little lake/pond behind us.)

The colors are starting to change.

A cool picture point

We found some random horses that were tied up and Maecee wanted to feed them.

Trying to get the big ole' trailer out of their spot

Beautiful Fall morning

I love this shot too

Maecee is such a good traveler!

Grandpa's style of dancing

Being silly!

Maecee loves to cuddle up with her "Dranpa" this is how she pronounces Grandpa (Horsey). I think it melted his heart when she crawled over from my lap and wanted to cuddle with him.
Thanks for letting us come with you dad. We love being with you!

Ethan B Ball Player #7

Blacksmith Fork Blaze
Great teamwork, Great Coaches!
Go Ethan!

After the Fight for Fina race we had to hurry over to Ethan's Baseball games. Here is a bunch of kids crammed into Uncle Dave's truck. It was so funny to see them all pull up and pile out.
I was worried when Brett told me that with this Competitive Baseball team we would need/get to have TWO games every Saturday. Come to find out, I absolutely loved it! It was so much fun to watch all the boys progress and learn so quickly. We all loved Ethan being on that team. He loved it too!

Ethan loves dogs!

On Second

On Third...and then home

Family cheering him on!

Mom--seriously more pictures...grrr!
Thanks to Craig Munford, the great coach. He spent so much time and effort getting this things started with this team and did an amazing job!
