Legoland, California 2011

Legoland, California

May 2011

So instead of buying all of us Christmas presents, my Dad and Lisa decided to take us all on a trip. When he asked me where I wanted to go, my first thought was, A Disney Cruise. Well we started to research the cost of that and it was way too expensive. So we decided to go to California and do Legoland, The Beachs, Knott's Berry Farm and Seaworld. If we ever do go back, I think we will only do the Beach. My family was wanting to pack up and move there! Here are some of the highlights.....

The Griswalds take California Part II

So funny story about the shirts. We were making up crazy things to do for the trip and we said we should all get matching shirts....but that they should be Hunter Orange. Well my Dad and Lisa were just sitting on the couch listening and whispering (so I knew something was up). Turns out that they had already gone and gotten shirts for all the small kids to give to them for Easter. Well we were all just joking about it and making fun of matching shirts and found out that they had really gotten them for the kids. So they went and ordered shirts for the adults so we could all be matchers.

It sure was easy to pick each other out in a crowd. I would forget we had them on and then someone would walk by laughing, or shaking their head, or just right up staring at us. I kept thinking "why is everybody staring at me", and then I remembered. We love being dorks together! It makes for good times.

We also all drove to California. That would be a total of 5 cars, 9 adults, 14 kids, 5 walkie talkies a lot of bathroom/food/gas breaks and tons of funny stories. It was hilarious!

Pictures for Heidi

Look at that awesome double rainbow. Notice how the kids are at the bottom. They're my pot of gold! Ya, cheesy I know.

My mom wanted to surprise my sister with new pictures of her kids for Mother's Day. So since I've got a good camera (that I don't know how to work very good, but I try) and I have Photoshop (that I don't know very well but I try), I told her I would take them so she didn't have to spend any $ on them.
Kaidin-the best big brother around
Hallee-the princess; Girly, girl all the way
Tylee-Nicknamed-the monster; Beats up big brother and little princess sister :)

She is so stinking cute!

Cute guy with a big cheeser smile

but so cute and funny, you can't help but laugh at her

Old and New

Do you ever stumble upon old pictures that just make you want to jump back to that time? I stumbled on these babies and wondered where in world time has gone.

The date said 2008

Now compare the above picture to the below picture
Look at how much bigger they are! I can't get over it!

And then you see one's like this......

My baby is 2 years old. Are you kidding me. Look at her and Rhett. Ahhh it's killing me!

July 2008
And this one...really!

They're in diapers for heck sakes! Oh I just want to gobble her and Tawnee up!
Then you see how big they're growing, right before your eyes and you want to cry!

Sigh.....

Tawnee, Maecee, Hallee, and Rhett (not wanting to be in the picture)

March 2011

Kenna's 13th Birthday. Heaven help me I have a teenager! She was sooo surprised she got a phone. I had text her friends and told them to text her new phone so when she opened it up there would be messages from her buds.

Talking with her Coach Amanda

We love Kenna and Amanda

My favorite thing about Amanda is that she is so determined to help the girls do get better, do better, be better. With Kenna's problems on bars she said she has spent tons of time researching information to help her get her skill. She looked up drills on the internet and that's finally what made it click for her. I also love that she will question the judges if she doesn't understand a score, so they can fix whatever the problem it is. Most other coaches have just accepted it, even if they didn't agree with the score. Amanda spent the summer in New York for school and we missed her soooo much. Kenna struggled a bit not having her there, so needless to say, I was so glad she came back. Thanks Amanda for all your hard work and dedication to your girls! We love you!

PInewood Derby

Ethan had his first Pinewood Derby. Him and his dad made the car, I mean his dad made the car Ü I kept teasing Brett asking him "Who's car is this?". I think the dad's like it as much as the boys.

Eth's car didn't get any practice runs because he was at Brett's championship basketball game and got there late. I was pretty onery about it but that's another story that probably shouldn't be shared here. I think the bishop saw a different none happy, very irritated side of me. Oops! It just made me mad that everyone was sitting there waiting for Ethan and one other kid to get there.

So because he didn't get it warmed up it didn't race well until all the races were over, then it beat all the cars. Oh well. Until next year.....
