This is for my Sista'

Okay Heidi can't believe that I haven't posted these pictures yet. Maybe it's because it was ok to look like this in Vegas but on here it's a little bit more humiliating. But for entertainment sakes may I present you~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

VLADIMIR AND DAPHNE

I cannot believe that I did this. Get me away from kids and I get all crazy like! :) After we got back from Phantom Brett had brought some secret identities from home. We really wanted to get my dad....and we did. So we run into our room to get ready in this get up. Check out those white go go boots. They are a size 10! My shoe size is 5 1/2 to 6. SWEET! I could barely walk actually. Then there was the blessed dress. It was TIGHT and after having 3 kids, didn't look so pretty. The wig was the best/worst. Brett's suit and wig rock huh! He was in character too! We were both sweating like pigs!
Okay so we got changed and tried to contain our laughs as we walked out of the room. Joey saw us first and his face was priceless. He wondered who was coming out of our room. Then when Heidi saw us she almost dropped to the floor laughing. We still needed to show my dad. They weren't ready to come downstairs yet so Heidi told them we'd meet him at the elevator. So Brettt and I run down there and strike a pose....literally. We hear voices and really ham it up.....and it's not our group! Yea we were embarrassed to say the least! Brett said that was the worst part of the whole night, because those people just had to sit there and wait for the elevator trying to not make eye contact with us. I bet they died once the elevator door closed. So my dad FINALLY comes around the corner and laughed so hard. I wish I could have captured that on video. Joey said he's never seen my dad laugh that hard. So they talked me into going down to gamble. The plan was that Brett was going to get excited when he got a good hand and flip his hair back so his wig would fly off. I thought ok I can last for a few minutes. 3 hours later........ So we play 21 and the dealer and pit boss where looking at us like we were crazy.....dah! Meanwhile Brett is doing this hair flip thing that I cannot stop laughing at. The funniest part was one of the dealers was actually trying to pick up on him! Really!! She was chinese and was saying "ohhhh I like your hair, your so cute, I'll take care of my man.....meanwhile Brett would win like $10 and cheer/do a dance and then bent me over like he was giving me the biggest make out kiss ever. I'm sure you can picture it. Heidi and Joey wouldn't walk by us, but they said it was hilarious to walk behind us because of all the looks we got. Brett's neck hurt the rest of the trip because he was trying to get that stinkin' wig to come off. Anywho....I am still fun....and the only thing I drank was WATER!
p.s. Speaking of what we drank Heidi got some crazy drink that had a cherry in it, then she didn't eat it. So I said Heidi let me have that Cherry. She just looks at me like I'm crazy and says "you mean this cherry that has been soaking in Tequila" Yea that would have been the first time I tasted alcohol....on a flippin' tequila soaked cherry. I wasn't thinking obviously!

Vegas Baby!

Let's begin with a dorky camera phone picture~it's very fitting for this trip believe me!
We had such a great time on our trip to Vegas. I was a little freaked out the way it started, but everything turned out ok. We left on Friday the 13th. Now, I'm not really superstitious but when we got to the airport our gated changed from D5 to D13. Then we loaded our plane and they told us we had to get back off because they weren't letting any planes land or take off in Las Vegas. Now, tell me you wouldn't be starting to think you were superstitious after all of that. The plane ride was pretty bumpy and Joey (Heidi's hubby) was shaking in his boots the whole time. Bretts goal on this trip was to embarrass/harass my dad. Believe me, we succeeded! It started when my dad fell asleep on the plane and Brett had me put a big Swedish fish in his open mouth and then clicked a picture! That was a good one! Then when we landed and finally found our way to the rental car place, Lisa had thought she saved money by renting a "cargo van" with no windows mind you. She said that online it said that it had 7 seats.....well guess what...it had 2 seats. SWEET! So we got a minivan and that started our adventure. Let me give you some advice NEVER BUY A RENTAL CAR! I now understand why my dad has always said that...it's because of the way HE drives them! We peeled out/squealed the tires in EVERY parking garage, on EVERY turn. We JUMPED the speed bumps and hills, and as soon as someone was close to us we squeal the tires and scare them. Now look at the picture of my dad, picture him in a friekin' mini van, with his big old smile, scaring people. I almost lost bladder control many times!
Here we are before heading out for PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

Dad and daughters. My dad can definately say that his daughters are not high maintenance. We went shopping and didn't buy ONE thing. Really, not one thing. How weird is that? We tried to find a new outfit for Phantom, but didn't see anything that really floated our boats, so we wore what we brought.
We stayed at The Encore. It's a new hotel that is connected to the Wynn. It was BEAUTIFUL! I cannot believe how nice it was.
Picture of the Group after Phantom of the Opera. 3 possibly 4 of us really loved it. One was a no go and one faked that HE liked it ;) I had chill bumps almost the whole time. I had seen it twice before but I understood it alot better because I have seen the movie and that helps. The stage/theatre was unbelievable. When we got back to the hotel that night another surprise was in store....more to come!

TAG

Readers beware: I'm weird----just warning you before you continue :)I posted this on facebook. Thought I'd put it on here also. Have fun!

1. I HATE the feeling/noise/squeekyness of COTTON BALLS-EWW I can't even stand to think about them. I went to volunteer in Ethan's class before Christmas and the teacher was standing there holding out a bag of cotton balls for me to pass out. I just about lost it, but I pulled myself together somehow and passed out those nasty things by grabbing the smallest amount I could possibly get and then flinging them at the kids. I'm sure I looked like a freak, but as you'll learn when you read this list.....I'm weird :)
2. I always have on socks! I can't stand to have my feet feel dry. Therefore I never wear flip flops
3. I have an intense fear of fish. I think it started when I was scuba diving in Hawaii and I couldn't get away from those slimy creatures! BLAH!
4. I have gone skydiving twice and would still do it if I could. Absolutely loved it!
5. I love the mountains more than the ocean. If I'm stressed out get me in the mountains and let me smell that fresh air. I LOVE IT! I even love the smell of skunk :)
6. I only drink water. So refreshing!
7. I had a "list" of things I wanted in a future husband. My friends told me my expectations were to high. Well guess what, I found the most amazing man who not only has all of those qualities but soooo many more. I'm the luckiest girl in the world!
8. I love to work (outside the home). I'm very lucky now to be home with my kids (which is where I need/want to be) but when they're all in school I just might have to get a job----for sanity reasons alone! Speaking of work, I think all teenagers need to work at a fast food place. I think this is where I learned a lot of my work ethic (Go Arctic Circle!)
9. I can express myself better through writing than talking. Just ask my hubby. He has to translate what I'm trying to say to people all the time. What a gem he is! He somehow gets me :)10. I am proud to say that I have never smoke or drank alcohol. I was never even tempted! Brett hasn't either, so our kids can't say "well you used to drink...." UMMM nope to that one!
11. I want to go on a mission someday with my hubby
12. I am a big time daddy's girl. We've gotten each other thru ALOT of HARD TIMES! Besides if you know my dad---what could you not love about him? Okay I know I'm biased. I now have a daughter who thinks her daddy can do no wrong......guess who does everything wrong? Ya I'm getting paybacks I'm sure!
13. I am definately a glass is half full type of person. I have a really hard time with people that are negative and bring you down.
14. Brett and I tell each other like it is. If I ask him a question (ie do I look fat in this?) he will answer it and tell it like it is. Hey I asked the question, if I didn't want a straight up answer I shouldn't have asked it! We love to tease each other too!
15. Medically I should not be here. I almost didn't make it when I had Ethan. Stressful times, but we made it and even had another baby even though we were STRONGLY encouraged not to. What would I do without my sweet Maecee?
16. I can keep up with my brothers and dad when snowmobiling up Prov canyon. I think they're proud of me, even though they won't admit it :)
17. I peed my pants at a haunted house once. Wait what am I saying, I've peed my pants ALOT! I mean ALOT!
18. I am extremely uncoordinated, clumsy and have ALOT of blonde type moments. At least I can laugh at myself!
19. I have to constantly be reading SOMETHING. Literally, it will be a box of cereal while I'm eating, a magazine while I'm blow drying my hair, a book while I'm waiting at a stop light, at all times. I am constantly in the middle of reading some book (so if you have any suggestions, I'm always looking for new reads)
20. I love Disney movies or any type of kids movies actually. I'm a kid at heart! Probably why I still love to play the old school Nintendo games (Super Mario Brothers-all three, Pro am, Tetris, etc) and can still remember all the "tricks". I also still love barbies and cabbage patch dolls...yes I am weird I know!
21. I am not girly girl at all! In fact Valentines day is my least fav holiday. My hubby can get to my heart by cleaning my car for me, or doing the dishes, etc. I don't really like jewelry, flowers, or chocolate. Boring huh!
22. I have a lot of gray hair! Hence, why I color my hair.
23. I love to waterski but kick my legs like crazy to keep those big fish away and have to get back in the boat FAST! How can you not think about all that yucky stuff below you. EWWW!
24. I used to be able to shoot the bow better than both my brothers. We'd set up target practice in the backyard and I'd beat them almost everytime. OH the satisfaction!
25. I would not be where I am today or who I am today without my friends. They helped me thru alot of hard times and were always such good examples to me.

I tag everyone that wants to be tagged :) Come on....try to think of 25 interesting things! I'll time ya.....
