Maecee says......
Cute little Sassy Pants
When my dad saw this picture he laughed so hard and just said oh boy that's trouble!Maecee says the funniest things. I wanted to document a few and add to it when I hear something good.
I want some 2 dums (which means orange gum) She sucks on it like a binki. It is so funny but a good comfort for her.
I don't want to schleep in my bed or I don't like my bed. I wanna schleep in your bed. (she says it like Sid the sloth on Ice Age.)
"Mom, Mom I'm the mom, your the sister." That means she's in charge, not me :) She also trys to get Ethan to be the baby, so she can boss him around. Sometimes he complies.
"Can I play on the puter (computer)"
She will break out into spanish phrases that she learns on Dora. The latest is "help" in spanish but I have no idea how to spell it.
Like she hears Dora say Gracias and she'll answer de nada.
She looked at Ethan on Sunday and tilted her head while saying "STYLISH"
I want (my daddy, my mommy, my grandpa) basicly whoever is not there at the moment. Then when they get there she doesn't want to have anything to do with them.
"No, no mom, don't answer the phone, I need to talk to you"
"Mom you be the dentist"
"Mommy can you please come cuddle me up?" How can I resist that...and she knows it!!!
She has these blankets that she's had since she was a baby. She LOVES THEM! Whenever she's tired or upset that's what she wants (well and her gum). I've tried to get her to like other blankets but she just tells me "I want my kucky blanket". I promise I wash them, bleach them and they still look kucky. Oh well she sure loves them.
I was telling her I was going to "eat" her arm up. She said, "no I not food!"

If anyone wants to add to this list feel free.

Christmas at Kevin and Kari's Church
Karilee did such an amazing job of decorating, planning the food, coordinating and directing the nativity. We had such a great time! Thanks for all your hard work Kevin and Karilee and Family.
More Family Pics from Thanksgiving
McEvoy Thanksgiving

Jim and Tiff were brave enough to let us come to their house for Thanksgiving this year. We had such a fun time. Eating, relaxing, the kids getting to play with each other, family pictures, and then of course ending with some BASKETBALL. Thanks you guys for letting us crash your new house.
Cute Boys :)

Christmas Morning
We had a great Christmas this year. We open presents here at our house in the morning and then head to my dads for a HUGE, yummy breakfast and to open more presents. Then we went to Kevin and Karilee's church for a yummy dinner, program and of course basketball. We are so grateful for our families and love spending time with them. We are soooo blessed!
McKenna got an Ipod for Christmas. She was running around she was so excited.
Opening stockings. We set up a stocking that had Jesus' name on it this year. When we did service for someone we would write it down and put it in the stocking for our gift to him. Then we also wrote what we wanted to give/work on this year for Jesus. I've really been trying hard to get my kids to focus on the true reason for the season. I think Ethan got it down pretty good. First he asked me what I wanted for Christmas and then when I hesitated he said "I know mom, you just want to GIVE people presents." I thought it was pretty cute. Then when we got to talk to Grandpa Mac and Grandma Donna in Russia on the computer (skype) they asked Ethan what his favorite present was to give. He thought and then said "I actually like all the presents I gave to people because it's fun to give." Melted my heart.
Waiting for Daddy so we could go downstairs and open presents. Daddy has a hard time getting up every year. The crazy things is the kids didn't even come in until 7:00. Shesh when I was little we were up at 4 or 5.
Being silly in their new jammies
Getting ready to head to bed. I cannot believe how much they loved their new jammies. I had to hid them so I could wash them and then got in trouble when they weren't dry yet. Aren't they cute! I can't believe how big they are getting. This year is a big year for us. We will have a 12 year old (ahhh Young Womens!), an 8 year old getting baptized, and a funny, crazy 4 year old. Do you see a pattern here?

Night Skiing
I don't have any pictures of us skiing but I wanted to write about it so I don't forget. We went to Jason's work ski night last Thursday. We all skiied (except Maecee). Brett and Ethan went up first and then McKenna decided she wanted to give it a try, so her and I rode up together. She was REALLY nervous that she was going to hurt herself so she was scared out of her mind at first. Her coach told her that she couldn't go because of the risk of injury (whoops). They have 3 months of gymnastics meets starting tomorrow. She's worked so hard to get all the skills for Level 7 so I know she was being really careful. The temptation to ski was just too much for her to handle.
The highlight of the night though was ETHAN. That kid went up and down the mountain all night long. He didn't stop one time. Not even to eat. I would be going down the mountain and I would here him yell from the lift, "Mom, wait for me." So I would wait for him, he would come cruising past me, say hi and then leave me. I would just be getting to the bottom of the mountain and he would be on the lift again yelling at me. I bet he went down 30 times (at least!). I love that he loved it. Confusing sentence eh? The couple of times that I was able to watch him fly past me were so hilarious. Here is this little guy going so darn fast that he wipes out, rolls down the hill like a snowball, then stands right back up and keeps going. I loved it! He's already asking to go again.
The not so good highlight of the night was Jason. He was trying to spray someone (aka show off)and his knee gave out. He said he heard a loud pop and then he went down. Heidi and I were watching the little kids sled down the hill and all the sudden we realized that it was Jason that was on the ground having a hard time getting up. We both ran over to him and he was sweating and looked whiter than a ghost. We grabbed his skiis and helped him get into the lodge and he didn't look to good. So big mouth (which he was calling me) went and asked to send over the ski patrol to wrap his knee up. The guy started to move it and Jason started to get all sweaty and pale again and felt like he was going to throw up. We layed him down, got his knee wrapped with some ice on it and the ski patrol asked him how he felt about getting an MRI of it in the morning. The first thing out of Jason's mouth was "will I be better for hunting season?" Go figure! So it ends up that he has a torn ACL, partially torn MCL and bone bruising. He goes in next week for surgery. I honestly thought he was just being wimpy. I didn't think he was that hurt....whoops!
Hopefully we can go skiing again and this time leave Maecee behind so I don't have to watch her the whole time. Actually the only type of skiing I want to do is waterski. So until next time :)

Thanksgiving and stitches. Ya I'm Behind
We had Thanksgiving at my mom's house a couple of days after Thanksgiving. It's always nice to have your mom's style of Thanksgiving. She knows just what we like. Thanks mommy! It is always good times when we get together. And in case you don't know my brothers, I'm usually the target of all the teasing, but I think it's funny so it's ok. In fact the lower left corner picture is my brother Cory imitating some pictures that they took of me last Thanksgiving eating. Little did I know they had the camera on me clicking away the whole time I was talking and eating. Jerks! Luckily the memory card died that day, so the pics didn't surface anywhere. The top right picture is all the girl grandkids sitting on Jamma's lap after Maecee got stitches in her head. I also think the picture of Cory painting Tawnee's nails (he also painted Maecee's) is so cute. What a great daddy.
