My Sister in Law Christina McEvoy is a 32 year old wife and mother of two adorable boys. She has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastic Melanoma that has spread to her lungs. She is in the fight for her life. If you look up information on Melanoma (especially stage 4) the statistics are terrible. Well we as a family want to invite you to help raise money and awareness for this terrible beast we call cancer. One family member has already been taken from it and we don't need any more taken from us.
Christina's treatments are being done in San Fransisco, California where her parents live. She is having BioChemo. This treatment requires her to be admitted to the hospital in ICU for 5 days. She then rests a couple of days at her parents house, flies home to be with her boys in Boise for just shy of 2 weeks, then starts the whole thing over again.
Salli Fiefia (Brett's Sister) has put together a 1 mile/5k/10k race that will be held on September 25th at Providence Park (200 W. 100 N. Providence, by Spring Creek Middle School). (There will also be another benefit run on October 16th at Barnes Park in Kaysville if this area would be more convenient for you.)
We would appreciate ANY support that you can give. I think everyone has been affected in one way or another by cancer. By rallying around Christina and her family WE WILL WIN THIS FIGHT!
